To keep our feet from sinking on our wintry treks, we strap into the Tubbs Frontier Snowshoe. The slim aluminum frame and soft deck have us floating above the powder, while the pivoting binding lets us step naturally and dumps snow off the back as we stride. Whether we're climbing, descending, or sidehilling, the strong metal teeth underfoot bite into snow and ice for reliable traction.

Excellent recreational snowshoe
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 25”
I took these out on rolling terrain and they performed well. The forefoot adjustment is quick, easy, and secure once the stiff side pieces loosen up. The old style heel adjustment strap could stand an update, but it holds once the buckle catches a hole.
